Research Integrity

Open science and research integrity are closely linked, and promote trust and credibility in scientific research. Open science emphasizes the dissemination of research through transparent practices such as the sharing of data and methods, which in turn supports the principles of research integrity by making studies more traceable and verifiable.

Research integrity is based on adherence to the fundamental principles of good scientific practice in the sense of reliability, honesty, respect, and responsibility. The University of Zurich and its members are committed to these principles.

To promote academic integrity and prevent academic misconduct, Research Integrity Coordination Office provides information and training as well as legally clear structures and procedures for investigating cases of suspected academic misconduct.
