International Open Access Week 2025
International Open Access Week will take place worldwide from October 20 to 26, 2025. This year's theme is “Who owns our knowledge?” and explores how communities can regain control over the knowledge they produce in times of change.
Open access enables researchers to share their publications without access restrictions and makes them visible and reusable by the global scientific community. Open access thus contributes to transparency, innovation, and collaboration across disciplines and borders.
Open Access Week provides a platform for discussing strategies, experiences, and opportunities for open science—in Zurich, Switzerland, and worldwide.
