New call by swissuniversities for Open Science projects
swissuniversities has published a new call for proposals in the Open Science II program. Researchers at the University of Zurich can now submit project proposals in the area of "Participation in relevant international initiatives".
Submission deadlines are:
- 31 October 2025
- 31 January 2026
- 30 April 2026
The aim of the call is to promote the sustainable integration and active participation of Swiss universities and research institutions in European and international open science initiatives (e.g., EOSC, Plan S, OPERAS, RDA).
Possible project objectives could include:
- Creating access to international open science infrastructures for Swiss institutions
- Connecting and integrating into international networks and structures
- Ensuring representation in international committees and subject-specific communities
- Participating in the development of common standards and guidelines
- Financing membership fees for international initiatives
- Organizing events to promote open science initiatives in Switzerland
- Implementing international solutions in institutional contexts (e.g., pilot projects, best practices)
Collaborations between Swiss institutions are strongly recommended.
