The new Data Stewards Network at the UZH aims to connect researchers and employees of the university that are committed to FAIR and open data. The network promotes an open dialogue between Data Stewards from different disciplines and backgrounds, helps them gain access to information and resources, and provides a place to learn about data management, research and data regulations, and best practices.
Data Stewards are UZH researchers or employees who will act as a contact person for questions about good research data management, open and FAIR data. They are a bridge between researchers and university research support services. As such they disseminate relevant information and best-practices in their respective departments and try to increase the FAIRness of data by improving workflows and research data management pipelines.
The Data Stewards Network is part of a project funded by swissuniversities and is coordinated by the Open Science Services of the University Library UZH.
